CAIRN VASES
Very exited to show the outcome of my glass blown vases/carafes made in collaboration with the master glassblower Gert Bulle at the Glasblazerij Leerdam.
These glass vases are inspired by cairns, the ancient rock piles used as landmarks, bring a sense of serenity and relaxation to the interior space. These vases serve as a reminder to take a moment to breathe and appreciate a moment of relaxation during the day through their calming presence and ergonomic feel in hand triggered by an organic pebble like shape much like walking on a pebble beach and feeling the pressure points on the soles of your feet. The vases may as well be used as a container for flowers or beverages or simply as a comforting object to handle or observe from a distance.
The family includes eperimentations with ceramics and thermoformed plastic bottles around real pebbles as a shape eploration!
